Kehlani Responds To Viral Face-Off With Christian Walker, Son of GOP Senate Candidate Herschel Walker

Kehlani and political right-winger Christian Walker got into a confrontation at Starbucks. Clips from the Wednesday incident have gone viral.

Kehlani is speaking their piece after a confrontation with political right-winger and social media star Christian Walker. On Wednesday morning (July 13), the two were at a Starbucks drive-thru in Los Angeles when Walker filmed himself getting out of his car and shouting at Kehlani, who released their third studio album Blue Water Road in April. Apparently, Kehlani called Walker an "a**hole," warning the Starbucks staff about his temper, which the TikTok star didn't take kindly to.

“Everyone’s entitled to an opinion — you’re so rude, or you wouldn’t be telling barista workers that I’m an a**hole,” Walker said before approaching Kehlani's car window. “Get your drink and go away. I can have an opinion like everybody else. Why are you entitled to an opinion and not me … You’re the a**hole. Get your drink and go.”

As the clip went viral, the Blue Water Road singer hopped in the conversation to share their side of the story, explaining that they were on the phone with their therapist while maintaining their composure.

“I wasn’t gonna address it, but I think we should tell the truth,” the singer began. “… I go to this Starbucks often, and I also know and can visibly see that everybody that works there is of color, and a lot of them—can’t assume these things—but seem queer to me," they said.

At the window, Kehlani told workers that Walker was a “Trump-supporting” person and often harasses members of the LGBTQ community, although he's queer.

“I’m like, ‘Watch out, because he’s coming up here with his f**king phone ready to record,” they said. “I’m like, ‘He’s a f**king a**hole,’ because I’ve just watched him be an a**hole for the last 10 minutes.”

The singer claims that Walker recorded after he began yelling at them, first calling them "a b**ch." While on the phone with their therapist, Kehlani was already discussing the habit of misplaced anger.

“I’m going, ‘I know what you wanna do. You wanna get a reaction out of me so you can go viral,” they said. “‘and you can post this as some kind of take on people with my political stance, or assumed political stance.”

Since the incident, the singer shared a screenshot of Walker being a fan of theirs since 2016.

Kehlani will embark on their Blue Water Road Tour this month with support from Rico Nasty and Destin Conrad.
