Listen To A Pair Of Choice New Instrumentals From Just Blaze
UPDATE:So word is, from Just Blaze himself, that he didn't post any Jay x Pharrell matterial. We regret the error. He did say himself that he found some, though...maybe hook us up? The email lines are open.
The early birds get worms, but last night the night owls got a taste of some choice and rare hip-hop material. Producer legend Just Blaze reportedly posted a number of Black Album-era Jay Z demos to his Instagram account, where they remained for only few hours before being taken down. He called them "Jay x Pharrell demos," which makes us all the more depressed that we missed out on them as we dozed.
But take heart, because at least one of the dusty, rough joints survives (for the moment). It's on twitter currently, and Just Blaze also tweeted out a message of contrition. "All IG videos are gone," he wrote. "Sorry! Night owls got the gems. Maybe some of them will end up somewhere soon!"
From what can tell, the clip is an alternate take of "Early This Morning," which has been floating around the scene for quite a few years now. Other outlets like Pigeons & Planes are reporting that demos of "I Really Meant It" and Kanye West's "Touch The Sky" were amongst those posted to IG, but we can by no means confirm that (and Just will have you know, don't claim it if you're not sure).
