Gregg "Rocky" Brooks worked as a location manager last year for the movie, while Depp plays LAPD detective Russell Poole, who investigated Biggie's murder.
Brooks claims the incident occurred while working on a scene from the film with Depp in downtown L.A. in April of 2017. According to the lawsuit filed by Baker, Olson, LeCroy & Danielian, Depp attacked him and angrily screamed, "Who the f*** are you? You have no right to tell me what to do."
Depp allegedly punched him twice in the rib cage. Brooks says that after he didn't react, Depp screamed, "I will give you $100,000 to punch me in the face right now," and that the actor reeked of alcohol.
The yelling allegedly continues until Depp was escorted away by his bodyguards.
Brooks is suing for assault and battery, infliction of emotional distress and negligence, among other things. The suit seeks unspecified damages.
