On Monday, Jim Jones addressed a circulating story alleging that he cooperated with federal informants.

Jim Jones joined the Angie Martinez Show on Monday morning to discuss the recent controversy regarding him and Tekashi 6ix9ine. After being named by Tekashi during the testimony, a post spread on Instagram alleging that Jones was also cooperating with federal investigators. In a now-deleted post, 50 Cent reposted the screenshot adding, "so thats why they ain't pull him in, say it ain't so jimmy."

"You never know that you're in the circus until you figure out you was looking at a clown," Jones said while speaking to Martinez. "When the clown gives out information, everybody laughs, you dig? But for the most part, everyone knows I'm a substantial individual — I've been doing this for a very long time."

"People don't read the facts, they read the 'Gram," he continued. "It's a big difference, and people use the media to do what they do. They blow everything up out of proportion. As far as my feelings, of course, it doesn’t feel right. It took me somewhere else at the moment when I saw it, but then I calmed down, sat back, laughed at it, looked at the person who was dishing it, and thought about it."

Jones was named during the trial as a member of the Nine Trey Bloods. When asked about the trial on The Breakfast Club last week, Jones declined to comment.
