Toward the end of the interview, Sway calls up Clark Kent, who proceeds to ask Jaz-O the following question: “Will Jaz ever make the album with Jay and Sauce [Money]?”
“I would say based on present-day scenario I would say no, but I would never say that something can’t happen because anything can happen,” Jaz responded. “I wouldn’t be 100 percent adverse to it…If it was up to me, you know.”
Elsewhere, Sway asked Jaz about a mixtape he said he was going to put out with 12 or 13 unreleased songs that featured him and Jay. After Jaz revealed that the mixtape never came out, Sway then asked if Jaz still had the tracks, to which he replied he did.
In July last year, Jay signed Jaz to Roc Nation. The singing inclded a distribution deal under Hov’s label. The deal reportedly stipulates that Jaz’s Kingz Kounty Media Group will be getting Equity Distribution from the imprint. The public falling out of the duo apparently revolved around Jaz-O having initially declining to sign with Jay during the inception of launched Roc-A-Fella records, citing the $300,000 deal and other grievances.
In 2017, the duo was spotted reuniting for the first time in nearly 20 years since their fallout in 2002.
