Years after his signing to Roc Nation, Jay Electronica fans still haven't received his album Act II - and Roc Nation head Jay Z apparently wants to bring the album to the people.

Hov and Elec were both at an NBA All-Star Weekend event this weekend, in Jay Electronica's old stomping grounds of New Orleans. Jay Electronica askedJay Z to speak to the crowd, and then revealed to the audience that Jay apparently purchased a church in the city.

Before leaving, Hov embraced Jay Elec and have wanted to hear for years now: "Let's go put the album out, let's go."

Only they don't know if Jay Z was joking or serious here. Jay Electronica announced that he signed with Roc Nation in 2010, butit's been a frustrating road for many supporters of the wordsmith. He has released several singles and leaks, including songs like the Jay Z-assisted "Shiny Suit Theory" and "We Made It,"guest appearances, and memorable performances like the 2014 Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival. But his album Act II: The Turn has become mythical, after release dates, tracklists, and announcements have all come and gone. He just told fans to get Tidal in July, seemingly hinting at new music then. But this seems to be the first time that someone outside of Jay Zhas commented about the album publicly in a long time, and without being asked about it.

Many fans will likely roll their eyes at this video and click elsewhere, and some have given up on the idea of the album coming out altogether. This writer will likely disappear down the rabbit hole of Jay Electronica tracks in my iTunes and fall back in love with those, without expecting much else.
