Yup. Capital One© customers are in for a chance to catch an incredible special live show featuring performances by Janelle Monáe and Nate Ruess (of Fun.) along with surprise DJs–FREE. The free concert goes down at SummerStage in Central Park, New York City on September 29th. Monáe’s resumé is well known to Okayplayers (six Grammy noms, Cover Girl, funkiest android walking) and anybody who caught Janelle’s epic Roots Picnic set in 2014 (or her Summer Spirit Festival appearance sharing the bill with Ms. Erykah Badu this year) knows the Electric Lady delivers one of the tightest, most dynamic, most, well, electric, live shows on any stage anywhere. Nate Ruess is no slouch himself and is known to bring out the most creative side of any artist he collaborates with (feel the two performers’ harmony as Monáe carries Ruess home on the acoustic version of “We Are Young” below) so this free pass to catch them both at SummerStage after the end of the official SummerStage program is like getting locked in the Chocolate Factory with Willy Wonka DJing and a stack of golden tickets! between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 p.m• Show your Capital One card.
That’s it. Keep in mind, concert space is limited, so tickets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. You will also receive a complimentary poster seen below!
