James Blake Debuts "Building It Still" On BBC Radio 1 Residency

It is no secret that James Blake's BBC Radio 1 residency has acted as a platform for releasing some of his footwork fortified reworks on red-eyed late-night listeners. It's unveiled a remix of UGK and Outkast's classic "International Player's Anthem" and several other cuts, which we can't necessarily say will ever make their way to an album of any sort. Today, however, we've got another new joint from the UK wiz-wid (currently taking top-bunk at his Chance The Rapper's LA compound) with the house-touched cut "Building It Still."

It commences with some glitchy vocal samples, faint and trilling, while an up-trot break patters underneath. Soon the track loses it's whole low-end as the shuffle dissipates into a choppy (a bit eerie) somehow even more minimal arrangement that is simply perfect for your nighttime wind-down. The track is a quick follow-up to the short list of stateside dates Blake has just announced and can hopefully be heard once more as he hits the road at the end of next month. In any case, you can stream James Blake's latest number "Building It Still" down below, just be sure to keep it locked as it doesn't seem your boy will be letting up anytime soon.
