Jada Pinkett-Smith Rides For Tiffany Haddish Over Golden Globes Snub

5 Reasons Why 'Girls Trip' Is Every Black Woman [Spoiler Free Review]

In addition to forgetting about Jordan Peele and Dee Rees for “Best Director,” you’ve criminally slept on the hilarious Tiffany Haddish for Girls Trip.

We posted the nominations for the 75th annual Golden Globes yesterday, Dec. 11, and noticed a few glaring omissions. Namely, Jordan Peele, Dee Rees and Tiffany Haddish. The former should’ve been added to the “Best Director” category, especially since their respective films Get Out and Mudbound are up for awards. And with Tiffany, hell, she’s become a breakout phenomenon since appearing in Girls Trip, and to be left off is insulting to us…

…and Jada Pinkett-Smith.

Tiffany’s co-star in Girls Trip was not happy to see her friend left off the nominations list. Unafraid to speak her mind, Jada took to Twitter to share her belief that snubbing Tiffany Haddish was an injustice. “I have so much to say on why Tiffany Haddish was not nominated for a Globe… but I won’t.” Haddish and the rest of her cast (Smith, Queen Latifah and Regina Hall) were all denied nominations despite the film grossed $100-plus million at the box office.

This didn’t go over well with #BlackTwitter, as they expressed their anger on social media.
In terms of Haddish, though, she doesn’t give two funks about it. The Last Black Unicorn has been doing well on the book charts, while she made history as the first black woman comic to host Saturday Night Live. None of what the Golden Globes can or can’t do is going to stop Tiffany Haddish from shining.
