India Shawn & James Fauntleroy have been dazzling us with their ’90s r&b revival steez for quite some time now. The very first offering from their collaboration arrived in the form of the blazing, dance floor freaker “Floating Away” all the way back in early 2014, and now, almost a year later, we finally have an exceptionally elegant visual to accompany. The clip — directed by Andrew Litten— bodes well, pairing the soft strings and anvil-heavy hook of the track with a conceptual piece that finds Shawn whirling and twirling in a ballet rehearsal and Fauntleroy full-drift in an open field with nothing but a balloon and an astronaut helmet.
The track can be found on their freshly-released Outer Limits EP, which features eight superb cuts from their time together in the studio and is available to stream in full via Soundcloud. If you’re looking to cop, head over to Shawn’s site. Below you’ll find the clip for India Shawn and James Fauntleroy’s super-smooth single “Floating Away.” Sit back, click and enjoy. We’ll be sure to have the latest on the formidable songwriting duo’s developments as they continue to churn out and join us in hoping that all of pop’s future sounds this damn good.
