Ice Cube & VH1 Are Teaming Up To Bring 'Hip-Hop Squares' Back For Another Run

Perhaps some you recall MTV2's short-lived reboot of the game show classic Hollywood Squares as Hip-Hop Squares. In its initial run the show was hosted by Hot 97's Pete Rosenberg, and lasted only 20 episodes, but made sure to feature the likes of Fat Joe, Biz Markie, Ghostface Killah, DJ Khaled and our very own Questlove, amongst many other notable hip-hop personalities.

Well, it appears that with the help of Ice Cube, VH1 will be bringing the show back for another run. According to The Hollywood ReporterHip-Hop Squares has been picked up for another 20 episodes with an eye on premiering this fall. Cube is set to produce the show, which will join $100,000 Pyramid and The Match Game as the latest game show's to get new life in the 21st century. A host for the program has yet to be announced, but we're sure that they'll be putting the word out soon. Until then, you can always revisit Hip-Hop Squareslast iteration or just bump the hell out of Bootsy & The Rubber Band's "Hollywood Squares" to get you in the mood. We'll opt for the latter. Cue:
