Hype Williams Has the Best Instagram Right Now Featuring Throwbacks From His Archives

The filmmaker’s account is filled with shots featuring Aaliyah, Jay-Z and even Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.

Hype Williams is one of the most respected names in the hip-hop industry, he’s most known for his iconic music videos featuring Jay-Z, 2Pac, Dr. Dre, The Notorious B.I.G. and more. Williams also is responsible for the cult classic Belly which starred Nas and DMX.

The multi-hyphenate recently has taken to Instagram to share his star-studded archives. A few of the images he’s shared include shots of the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, while others feature Beyoncé, Aaliyah and even celebrity stylist June Ambrose.

Select shots also highlight some of the biggest artists and innovators of the ’90s and ’00s: Diddy, Dame Dash, Missy Elliott and Busta Rhymes. Additional images he also shared featured moments on set of videos and also candid moments in his personal life. In total, his recent posts are shedding light on how he had a major hand in the creative work that pushed the hip-hop industry to where it is currently.
