OKP x Ropeadope Presents ReNew York

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Back in '05, Okayplayer partnered with Ropeadope for the ReNew Orleans campaign (sales of the ReNew Orleans t-shirt raised over $80,000 for musicians in need in post-Katrina NO). And now, in partnership with Ropeadope and Preservation Hall, we're proud to announce our ReNew York t-shirts, in response to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. The storm ravaged much of NYC--home to Okayplayer, as well as The Roots & Late Night With Jimmy Fallon -- and this is our own small way of reaching out to help our neighbors, especially since this disaster touched us all personally. ReNew York is a simple concept — a t-shirt that raises much-needed funds for affected artists and musicians. With this t-shirt, we'll be supporting The Jazz Foundation Of America, and The NYC Food Truck Association. Cop one now in the OkayStore and help support our community!
