Jordan Peele‘s new Amazon series Hunters has dropped its first trailer. Starring Al Pacino, the show created by David Weill follows a pack of Nazi hunters in 1977 New York City.
According to Variety, the group have discovered that a group of high-ranking Nazi officials are hiding in plain sight and “conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S.” The clip provides a peak at the role Pacino will play in stopping the Nazis from taking over the U.S. During the fast-paced trailer he states, “This is not murder. This is mitzvah.”
Hunters also stars Tiffany Boone, Jerrika Hinton, Josh Radnor, Greg Austin, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Dylan Baker and Lena Olin. It is executive produced by Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Sonar Entertainment. The show will launch globally in 2020 exclusively on Amazon.
Most recently Pacino has starred in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood and Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman. Earlier this year, Peele’s critically acclaimed film Us starring Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke arrived in theaters, it raked in $255.1 million.
