Ubisoft’s “Hip Hop Dance Experience” Video Game To Debut At Brooklyn Hip-Hop Fest

Hip-Hop and video games have had a long relationship, from Fresh Prince playing Donkey Kong with Ready Roc C on “Human Video Game” and the Wu-Tang Clan‘s gem for Playstation, Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style to the recent DJ Hero franchise. This Saturday, July 14th, hip-hop and video games will come together again at the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival where video game publishers, Ubisoft (Just Dance, Assassin’s Creed), will debut their latest game, The Hip Hop Dance Experience.

We’re certain the game will be just as fun as another recent Ubisoft title, The Michael Jackson Experience, which invited users to dance along to classic tunes by the King Of Pop. Though The Hip Hop Dance Experience doesn’t have any classic Jacko tunes, it provides us wannabe b-boys and b-girls 30 songs to choose from (for the Wii — Xbox gamers get ten extra songs) including cuts by The Sugarhill Gang, Run-DMC, Naughty By Nature, Outkast, Q-Tip, Too $hort, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Snoop Dogg, Kid Cudi, M.I.A., Lil’ Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Drake, and more paired with over 750 dance moves choreographed by Laurieann Gibson (Nicki Minaj, Diddy, and one of the Fly Girls from In Living Color), Dave Scott (“So You Think You Can Dance,” You Got Served — don’t front, those dance battles were ill!), and Kid David (Step Up 3D).

See gameplay screenshots and get more info on the Hip Hop Dance Experience Facebook page.

The Hip Hop Dance Experience hits stores in November for Kinect for XBox and Wii consoles.
