Heems Inks A TV Deal To Make Sitcom Based On His Own Story

New York MC Heems has reportedly inked a deal with 20th Century Fox to create a potential sitcom. Taking to Twitter Wednesday, the rapper revealed that the production giant has purchased his “story right,” and he will now get to work writing its pilot and pitching the show to networks.

While Heems hasn’t yet specifically stated what the sitcom will be about, it appears to be centered around his own personal experience. Heems went on to reveal that Sanjay Shah has been tapped to write the pilot; Shah’s past credits include Fresh off the Boat, South Park, Enlishted and King of the Hill.
