Over the last year, John Legend has emerged as much more than your lady's favorite pop and soul star. He's produced standup comedy specials for Chapelle Show alums, inked roles as civil rights heroes and helped bring Harriet Tubman's story to life on Underground. But in terms of this music thing, we haven't seen or heard from the Ohio singer since he popped up at this year's Roots Jam in the build up to Grammys Week.

Now it appears that the time away from the booth has been put to good work, as he's announced his new album Darkness & Light will arrive in the near future. According to a recent Facebook Live session, the album will feature contributions from Chance The Rapper, Miguel, Kamasi Washington, Brittany Howard and more. And today he's giving us our first taste of it with the release of the new single "Love Me Now," which is available for your to hear in the player below. No word on when exactly we can expect the new project to drop, but it doesn't seem like it'll be too long now.
