For those out of the loop, Haim is a rising star in the pop-funk continuum, displaying exemplary funk morale and musicianship in the constructs of catchy hooks and glistening productions, compiled into the heavy and dreamy debut LP Days Are Gone. The three piece all-lady, no fuss group of immensely talented sisters, took those sensibilities and put them to work on their recent stint on BBC Radio 1‘s Live Lounge, where they covered Queen Bey’s “XO.” Their rendition strips down the cut to straight instrumentation and epic, hallowed backing yells, infusing the anthemic, yet delicate original with their glimmering vintage-pop styles. Go ahead and rock with these ill sisters in blood and arms as they perform their take on Beyonce’s “XO” below. We’ll have more on Haim soon, just keep that ear to the ground.
