Frank N Dank To Release 3 Unheard J Dilla-Produced Songs on Vinyl For Record Store Day

If the prospect of yet another posthumous J Dillarelease has you gripping the money holster, get ready to make some space on that wishlist. With the blessing of Ma Dukes, The J Dilla Foundation and Vintage Vibez Records, Delicious Vinyl will release a trio of songs produced by the late producer for fellow Detroit reps, and longtime collaborators, Frank N Dank.

Back in 2002, Dilla's first sample-less album arrived with Frank N Dank's 48 Hours. It was a rare opportunity to witness J Dilla: The Musician like never before; where the producer's knack for synthesizers and minimalism were on full-display (along with those hallmark drunken kung-fu drums.) According to Frank Nitt, these three rarities were dug up from his personal archive and will be released for the first time ever as a limited edition vinyl for Record Store Day, pressed to only 2,000 copies.

You can hear a teaser for the clips in the video below. The first Record Store Day of 2017 lands on April 22nd, though a full list of releases as yet to make way. Keep and eye on us for even more selections for crate digger's holiday in the weeks ahead.
