FKA Twigs Set to Hypnotize Brooklyn with ‘Congregata’ -- Second Show Added 5/18

FKA Twigs

A performance artist in the truest sense, FKA twigs has carefully sculpted her persona, rising from experimental r&b enigma to a bonafide pop culture star. Over the course of two nights presented by the Red Bull Music Academy Festival (May 17th & 18th--May 17th is already sold out!) the “singer/dancer/producer/choreographer/director” will perform ‘Congregata’ at Brooklyn Hangar. Tickets are still available for May 18th.

Twigs has been given complete freedom to bring her vision to the stage, a feat accomplished with the help of ten dancers and costumes created by Sarah Burton for the legendary Alexander McQueen fashion house. Throughout the night, she will command the stage as the show’s centerpiece, singing and dancing through her deliberately-curated set list. Each song serves as its own narrative, with its own accompanying routine, building to the cohesive exhibition she has entitled ‘Congregata’ to represent the coming together of her multiple artistic ideas.
