The Times reported that the devices were similar to one found at George Soros‘ home on Monday. The billionaire and political activist and author’s home is in a suburb north of New York City. The device was made by a pipe about six inches long and filled with explosive powder. The device was “proactively detonated’ by bomb squad technicians.
A couple of months ago, Obama explicitly called out Donald Trump in a new speech, criticizing him for his handling of the violence that took place in Charlottesville last year.
“We are Americans…we’re supposed to stand up to discrimination and we’re sure as heck supposed to stand up clearly and unequivocally to Nazi sympathizers. How hard can that be? Say that Nazis are bad,” Obama said.
“You cannot sit back and wait for a savior. You can’t opt out because you don’t feel sufficiently inspired by this or that particular candidate. This is not a rock concert. This is not Coachella. We don’t need a messiah,” he continued.
