The 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will go down on April 7th, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. However, just days before the ceremony, a special exhibit honoring the 2017 nominees will open at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Clevland.
The exhibit will open on March 31, and it will honor all of this year’s nominees: Tupac Shakur, Pearl Jam, Joan Baez, ELO, Journey, Yes, and the Musical Excellence Award recipient Nile Rodgers.
The exhibit will feature a bunch of cool goodies, including Nile Rodgers’ electric guitar; a reel-to-reel master recording of “Dear Mama;” a t-shirt that Eddie Vedder, lead singer of Pearl Jam, wore on Saturday Night Live in 1994; Joan Baez’s contract for Woodstock; and more.
We’re pretty stoked to watch this year’s ceremony, mainly to see Snoop Dogg induct Tupac into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The ceremony will go down on April 7th and then premiere on HBO on Saturday, April 29.
