REVIVE: Esperanza Spalding To Debut New Material At 92Y Soul Jazz Festival

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

While all the little hypebeasts are out in Austin right now, the electric Miss Esperanza Spalding will be debuting some new tunes at the 92Y Soul Jazz Festival in NYC this weekend, making The Kaufman Music Hall on W 67th her home for the weekend.  The bass-toting sage will take to the stage with Nadia Washington on guitar and vocals, Matthew Stevens on guitar, Corey King on trombone and the torchbearer of that Hitsville swing Kareem Riggins on drums. For fans of her take on the pop and R&B traditions Radio Music Society, this weekend's soiree has a promising flare to it. If you're now too antsy to sit, peep the thunderous funk of Esperanza's Guantanamo protest anthem "We Are America." We'll have more on the set next week, so be sure to keep it locked to the Okay-realm.

Head over to REVIVE for the full scoop and RSVP info.
