Eliphino proves to be the latest UK producer to put his spin on some of Electric Wire Hustle‘s new batch of funk with the glistening club-ready rework for the title track of the Kiwi crew’s soon-to-drop If These Are The Last Days EP. The British beat constructor gives Mara TK‘s airy croon some shine as it whispers melodic over a buttery house-styled break, providing the two-steppers with something to bop to.
Though the track premiered over at BoilerRoom, Electric Wire Hustle’s If These Are The Last Days EP drops June 2nd on our very own Okayplayer Records imprint, so be sure to keep that ear to the ground as this teaser gives us a glimpse of their upcoming full-length sophomore piece, slated for a fall drop. If that ain’t enough to hold you over, Philly and BK fam can catch EWH at this Saturday’s Roots Picnic festivities and again on Sunday at Brooklyn Bowl. Go ahead and get reacquainted folks, there’s plenty more on the way from this ill New Zealand camp. Rock with Elphino’s house-studded flip of “If These Are The Last Days” below and peep last week’s offering “Bottom Line” for another dose of that ill Kiwi funk.
