Donald Trump Mistakenly Says Toledo Instead of Dayton While Remarking on Mass Shooting Deaths

Gaffer-in-Chief.

President Donald Trump addressed the country on Monday morning (August 5th) after two mass shootings over the weekend that left 30 people dead in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio.

Of course, there was some controversy around the speech.

Trump read from a teleprompter as he kind of spoke out against white supremacy. But he said very little about guns or gun control legislation. The speech ended with a flub: He said "may God bless the memory of those who perished in Toledo." The problem, there was no shooting in Toledo. The shooting occurred in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas.
