Dirty Projectors Dig Into Digital Age Loneliness With New Single/Video "Little Bubble"

There may not be an official album announcement in place, but it certainly seems we're working towards a new project from Dirty Projectors. A few months back, the Dave Longstreth-led pop experimentalists released "Keep Your Name," their first single in nearly five years. And today, a follow-up arrives by way of "Little Bubble," a haunting meditation on the underlying loneliness of the digital age, soaked in beds of electric pianos and Longstreth's howl. The best kind of haunt.

The visual arrives alongside the new cut, featuring a solitary Longstreth with various scenic backdrops, from mountaintop to greenhouse garden, with nothing more than an iPad and a pair of headphones. Next-level lonesome. And while there's still no word on when we can expect the next chapter in the Dirty Projector saga, "Little Bubble" and "Keep Your Name" are more than promising, and should not be taken lightly. Watch the entrancing new video from Dirty Projectors below and pick up a copy of the single on iTunes today. Keep your ear to the ground for their next transmission in the weeks and months ahead. You won't want to miss it.
