Declaime follows the recent release of the Southside Story LP with the official video for "Holly" featuring Georgia Anne Muldrow. The clip for the track produced by Chris Keys takes viewers off the main drag and into the side streets and seedy spots that make up the underbelly of Hollywood, through a mix of vivid lyricism and classic film clips. Forever dropping science, Declaime uses the tragic story of a street walker to warn women not to allow the mystique of Tinsel Town to lure them into the wrong kind of life. The whole scene is propelled by an impossibly fat bassline and a cautionary refrain from Georgia that ups the suspense factor a few notches. Think blaxploitation meets the boom-bap.
