Dave Chappelle, Still Elusive As Ever, Pops Up For A Round Of Karaoke In Portland

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

As soon as his historic 11-show run at Radio City Music Hall let out, Dave Chappelle went expectedly ghost. Outside of an appearance in Spike Lee's controversial Chi-Raq, Chappelle has been a tough man to spot on or off stage. But according to a Reddit user, frequenters of Portland strip and karaoke joint, Devil's Point, were treated to a rare mode from the comedian; the one where he holds a glass to the air while belting out songs by the likes of Radiohead, The Police and, of course, The Fugees.

Though we're wary of the source, this is a thing that could have conceivably happened, even with Reddit being a place where Obama's third term and the Kendrick x Kanye x D'Angelo collabo record both exist with equal plausibility. But even if it's punch-drunk memory fueling this fire, on a day when we mourn the loss of one of hip-hop's most beloved emcees, the thought alone should help bring a smile to your face. Hit the link below to read the full take and cross all of your bodily appendages that a Dave Chappelle Does The Hits record is cut and already en route.
