Watch NYC DJ Legend Danny Krivit Wax On 45 Years Of Spinning 45s

Danny Krivit, try as you might, is the type of NYC staple that you simply can't forget. The native New Yorker and full-time spinner (45 years and running) has made a name for himself as one of the go-tos for re-edits and has a legion of faithful followers to boot. A new mini-doc from director Greg Poole tells the tale of Krivit's come-up in the West Village, how he learned to play guitar from The Hitmaker himself (Nile Rodgers, who was strumming away at an amp-less rig at the time) and how his earliest musical moments took place in his father's club The Ninth Circle.

With damn near a half century of spinning 7" records under his belt, what better venue to experience the boundless funk that Krivit has provided over the years, then NYC's Mobile Mondays, which will be lighting up Bowery Electric this coming Monday, June 29th in celebration of Krivit's milestone and all the deck-wrecking he's provided for this city. The party jumps off at 10pm and will be in effect 'til the wee hours of the morning (2am,) so come one, come all for one of the best parties on the east coast. You can watch Danny Krivit wax on 45 years of spinning 45s below.
