Could We Be Looking At Oprah For President In 2020?
For years, Oprah Winfrey has contended that she would never run for public office of the presidency.
That is, until today.
During an interview with Bloomberg‘s The David Rubinstein Show, the TV billionaire mogul was asked if Donald Trump‘s election had changed her perspective on possibly running for the top job herself one day.
Keep in mind that millions of her fans have asked her to run for years — including Stephen Colbert who placed her in the hot seat this past January — but she’s always maintained a resolute no to the opportunity.
Citing that she didn’t have the requisite political experience to run the country, she told David Rubinstein, “I never thought about the question. I never even considered the possibility. That’s what I thought [about running for office]. I thought, oh gee, I don’t have the experience, I don’t know enough.” The congressional address from Trump last night might’ve given Oprah Winfrey thoughts about creating a ticket for Oprah Winfrey 2020.
“Now, I’m thinking, ‘Oh. Oh.'”
She’d clearly have our vote if this is the way politics are going. What would you do if she ran? Speak on it in the comments section below!
