The homie chanes makes his return today and drops the fifth and sixth releases in his ongoing instrumental EP series. We missed out last month, so let's catch up with #5, the fringe and #6 The Blue Room. Two 5-track releases with all the head nodd factor you'd expect from the Detroit producer. Says chanes of the fringe: "The fifth installment in the ep series, The Fringe was electronically influenced. I was listening to a lot of chillwave and psychedelic stuff at the time. The concept for this one was really about growth. All around. As I’ve been doing these EP’s I’ve been finding myself growing and shifting with my sound. The EP’s have in their own way, somehow, became the perfect illustration for what I’m going through in life right now. Transitional." and of The Blue Room: "The sixth installment in the ep series, The Blue Room was influenced by vintage moog european psychedelic. The Blue Room concept was inspired by the transitioning of the seasons in the midwest. There’s nothing like fall in Michigan. As well as the underlying concept to the majority of these EP’s, which has been me going through the parallel transitions of moving back home."
