Vote or die...for real this time.

The day has come. The 2018 midterm elections are here. Some, like President Barack Obama, have labeled this as the most important election in our lifetime.

This is a claim that has been said a lot over theyears. But this time it really feels true.

Typically midterm elections don't have a huge turnout. That isn't the case this year. The democratic base is charged, and eager to counter President Donald Trump and his administration. A record number of women and people of color are running for office. Some of the most prominent figures include Stacey Abrams, who is running for Governor of Georgia, and Andrew Gillum, who is running for governor of Florida.

Because of this momentum, and some last minute race-baiting from Trump, the conservative base is also charged up. (A record number of people are expected to vote today.)
