Everyone From Lizzo to YG Had Something to Say About Donald Trump Getting Impeached

From Meek Mill to Lizzo to Plies to Talib Kweli, here is how some celebrities responded to Donald Trump getting impeached.

President Donald Trump was impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday (December 19th) evening, over his role in pressuring Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden’s son Hunter. And, despite impeachment being a complicated process, everyone seemed to have an opinion on the historic night.

The house voted on two articles: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The House voted 230 Democrats to 197 Republicans to impeach Trump for abuse of power. The House then voted on the second article, obstruction of Congress. The vote was 229 democrats to 198 republicans. Democratic Presidental nominee Tulsi Gabbard voted “present” on both not choosing a side.

It’s unlikely Trump will be removed from the office. The Senate, which is majority Republican, has indicated that they will support Trump.

However, that didn’t stop celebrities, from rappers to comedians to actors, from having an opinion on the spectacle. Even if there seemed to be some confusion if Trump would actually be removed from office.

From Meek Mill to Lizzo to Plies, here is how some of the celebrities responded to Trump’s impeachment.

Meek Mill was celebrating. He seemed to think that Trump was close to getting removed from office.

Young Scooter also seemed to think Trump was about to be removed. Scooter wrote he’s going to team up with “the real white people” to make “America great again.”

Talib Kweli was focused on the next steps of the process.

Lizzo celebrated with one of her old (more prophetic) tweets

Singer Victoria Monét had a joyous response.

Plies acknowledges the obvious — that Barack Obama has never been impeached.

Trevor Noah and The Daily Show had a decent joke.

Skrizzy with some good analysis.

Michael Rapaport responded in a Michael Rapaport kind of way.

Ebro brought up some receipts.

Charlamagne tha God made a good 6ix9ine and Trump joke.

YG kept it simple.

Lalah Hathaway was direct.

Don Cheadle was tweeting a lot.

Bernie Sanders kept it professional

Same for Maxine Waters
