Viral Video Shows Brooklyn Nail Salon Workers Hitting Woman With A Broom

Residents have since called for the nail salon to close.
A viral video showing a group of nail salon employees beating a customer with a broom has resulted in backlash for the Brooklyn business.

A brawl took place at New Red Apple Nail in East Flatbush Friday night. In the video, captured by someone at the salon, a group of the workers can be seen surrounding a woman, Christina Thomas. From there, one of the employees, Huiyue Zhing, attacks Thomas with a blue broomstick.

As Thomas runs out of the salon another can be heard saying "What are you doing," leading to Zhing attacking her as well.
"So I'm at the nail salon and they f**ked up a lady's eyebrow and she refused to pay then a fight broke out," wrote the person who captured the video on Facebook.
"Share this cause the cops decided to arrest the black people but not the Chinese people who ganged up on them. Hitting them like animals," the person added.
The person also notes that the fight stemmed from Thomas refusing to pay the salon because she felt the employee did not do a good job.
According to Pix 11, Zhing faces charges of misdemeanor menacing, misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon and harassment, while Thomas faces charges of misdemeanor assault, misdemeanor menacing and harassment.
Following the incident, residents have protested the salon and have called for its closing.
