Broccoli City has rolled out its lineup for its 2020 festival, it features rising artists like Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby and Roddy Rich.
Taking place in D.C., the festival which has been running for the past seven years will also feature Ari Lennox, Burna Boy, Doja Cat, Lucky Daye and more as headliners.
One of the biggest emerging stars headlining the festival includes Megan Thee Stallion. 2019 was a big year for the Texas rapper, she dropped Fever her first full length EP after signing to 300 Entertainment. She also dropped her single “Hot Girl Summer” with Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki Minaj, it would go on to be on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Additionally, last year Megan was announced as one of the rapper’s in XXL’s Freshman Class.
Roddy Rich also experienced a hell of a year in 2019 which led to his meteoric rise in the entertainment industry. The Compton rapper appeared on Mustard’s “Ballin,” this feature would prove to be a breakout moment for him. Before this, he also was featured on “Racks In The Middle,” the critically acclaimed single by Nipsey Hussle with Hit-Boy released before Hussle’s untimely death. Both songs were nominated for the 64th Grammy Awards. Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial his debut studio album arrived in December, it was packed with features by Gunna, Lil Durk and Meek Mill.
Brandon McEachern and Marcus Allen, founders of Brocolli City released a statement on the festival:
“As a black-owned, millennial-led festival, we take great pride in our ability to create safe and authentic spaces for the black community to gather and celebrate the beauty of our culture.”
Broccoli City will take place at RFK Stadium from May 7-9. Tickets will be on sale online beginning Friday, January 24 at 10 a.m. EST for $79.
