This past weekend, Run The Jewels brought their explosive live show to San Francisco’s Treasure Island Music Festival, sparing no ear or eye from the duo’s high-voltage stage antics. But even with Killer Mike and EL-P’s diamond-strong resume of stage-slaying, Frisco probably wasn’t prepared for the terrible twosome’s guests for the evening; none other than Big Grams (BKA Big Boi & Phantogram‘s own genre-smashing supergroup,) who joined Mike and EL for a live and direct rendition of their collaborative heat-seeker “Born To Shine,” prominently featured on the Big Grams EP. The close-up also provided a bit of a reconnection for Killer Mike and Big Boi, who share a Grammy for Outkast‘s bounce-worthy single “The Whole World.”
So what do you get when two super-powered supergroups collide onstage? Well, I don’t really know. But I imagine it looks a little something like this:
