It's hard to imagine that Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds has been in the game, in some form or fashion, for damn-near four decades. That may date some of you Okayplayers, but it's hard to bock at such a persistent presence in R&B, especially when the latter half of his career has found him on top of the pops as a producer and songwriter for everyone from Whiney Houston to Toni Braxton to Eric Clapton on up to current pop&b sensation Ariana Grande. But even with such massive successes with the some of the game's most renowned voices, it's been a minute since we hear the cool croon of Edmonds himself.

And so, in November of 2015, Babyface has revealed that he's currently refining material for a new solo project, Tender Love, which is slated for a December 4th release, marking his first solo release in eight years. The lead-off single "We've Got Love" is a blast from the grown & sexy r&b years of the mid-90s, built over a slick, yet fairly dated, groove paired to a clip that finds him performing the cut from a lavish soiree in his own home. Fitting, yet certainly not pushing it. But we'll leave the final call in your hands.
