Apollo Brown‘s Grandeur is a trove of modern hip-hop sure shots, and now another one of them has gotten a fitting visual treatment. “Neva Eva,” which features vocal assistance from The Barrel Brothers (Skyzoo and Torae), is the subject of Brown’s latest music video, and is another reminder of just how dynamic and tough the producer’s output has become in recent years. Also: that beat! Apollo Brown cuts no corners when it comes to his drum loops and cord changes. These kicks are punchy and precise in their attack, and dot morse code messages across The Barrel Brothers’ bars.

The video was shot throughout New York City, and a great many of the metropolis’s unmistakable landmarks punctuate the clip. Credit director Jay Brown with giving us a tour around the backstreets of Brooklyn and numerous bridges while keeping the focus on Brown, Skyzoo and Torae. Grandeur features vocal performances from a host of modern rap stars including Freddie Gibbs, Your Old Droog, Sean Price, Oddisee, M.O.P., Rapper Big Pooh, OC, Red Pill and others. You can (and shoul!) pick up the record on iTunes today, but before you do and watch the new “Neva Eva” video below.
