On “The Heart Pt. 4” Kendrick Lamar warned rappers they had until April 7th to get “y’all sh*t together.” Die hard fans thought this meant that he was releasing a new single or, better yet, a new album on the 7th.
We found out this wasn’t true when, instead of new music, we got a preorder link and a release date for the new album, which is dropping on April 14th.
Some fans were disappointed, and they went to Twitter to vent. And since Kendrick doesn’t really tweet all that much, they took their beef to TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, who has a very active social media account. Tiffith spent a couple of hours having fun with fans who were sad about no new Kendrick today.
