Spike Lee's Prince Party Was A Purple Dance Off

On Monday, April 3, the NYU Tisch School of the Arts will honor the likes of some of Hollywood’s brightest for its 2017 gala.

Themed “Aspire and Inspire,” director Spike Lee and actors Danai Gurira and André Holland will be honored for the night’s festivities. Alec and Hilaria Baldwin will serve as Honorary Co-Chairs for the evening. Former American Idol judge and music industry veteran Randy Jackson will also be in attendance. Featuring performances by current and former students of the iconic arts institution, which is celebrating over 50 years of excellence, proceeds from the gala will go to supporting the critical needs of talented Tisch students.

Hosted by Sunday in the Park with George‘s Michael McElroy, an Associate Arts Professor and Associate Chairperson at NYU Tisch — the 2017 Tisch Gala will take place at Cipriani‘s on 42nd Street with red carpet beginning at 6:00 p.m.
