Sleeper soul upstart Allen Stone marks his return with the boisterous and funky new cut “Upside”; an introductory track to his forthcoming Radius LP. Though it’s been years since we’ve heard or seen Stone in action, the new cut comes correct, flaunting his command for late ’70s r&b with bubbly piano trills and wavy guitar treatments, punctuating the track with a poppy twist, embodied in that heavy-as-lead hook. Radius is slated for a May 26th release via Capitol Records and is available to preorder on iTunes today. Rock with the latest from Washington-bred soul smith Allen Stone. Stream “Upside” below and peep his upcoming tour dates below. Stay tuned for the latest from this OKP favorite.
