In an interview with HipHopDX, rap duo Stylz & Wells spoke on their recent collaboration with Too Short titled "Vibes." While working on the song together, Short had explained that it reminded him of A Tribe Called Quest.

"He surprisingly said the track reminded him of a legendary group that he always wanted to work with, but the label (Jive) always opposed the idea and prevented them from collaborating together," Wells said. "I asked him what group he was talking about and he told me A Tribe Called Quest. It's an honor to get this rare perspective from the rap legend on record."
