2017 NAACP Image Award Nominations: Solange, 'Atlanta,' 'Luke Cage' & More

The 2017 NAACP Image Awards have released its nominations, with nods going to everyone from Beyoncé and Chance The Rapper to Atlanta and Insecure.

The nominations list is lengthy, as it goes through a number of categories including "Outstanding Literary Work" and "Outstanding Music Video," as well as others such as "Outstanding Documentary (Film)" and "Outstanding Motion Picture."

Beyoncé has seven nomination nods courtesy of Lemonade, but sister Solange is also up for a few awards too, including "Outstanding Music Video" for "Cranes In The Sky." Donald Glover is up for a few awards with Atlanta, including "Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series" and "Outstanding Comedy Series."

But it is also nice to see shows such as Luke Cage getting love too. The Marvel / Netflix series is in the running for "Outstanding Writing in a Dramatic Series," and "Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series."
