LeBron James Wore ‘Equality’ Sneakers Criticizing Trump At Washington D.C. Game

Source: ESPN

LeBron James wore symbolic “equality” sneakers during his visit to D.C. and had some more words for Donald Trump.

Cleveland Cavaliers player LeBron James had a thing or two to say to Donald Trump during his visit to Washington D.C. on Sunday. At his game against Washington Wizards, the four-time NBA MVP sported one black and one white sneaker with the word “equality” in gold stitching divided across the pair.

James scored his fourth triple-double in the past five games and the Cavaliers defeated the Wizards 106-99.

Though James opted not to explicitly state Trump’s name during his address to press after the game, it’s quite clear who his commentary is directed towards. James has unequivocally been one of Trump’s harshest critics in the entertainment industry.

“Obviously we know where we are,” he told reporters on Sunday. “And we know who’s at the helm here.”

He continued, “We’re not going to let one person dictate to us, as Americans, how beautiful and powerful we are as a people.”

He added, “I will in my voice, I will in my passion, I will in my money, I will in my resources to my youth and my inner city and outside my inner city to let these kids know that there is hope, there is greater walks of life, and not one individual, no matter if it’s the president of the United States … can stop your dreams from becoming a reality.”
