The release is equipped with features by Future, Too Short and Gunna.

Young Thug and Chris Brown dropped their collaborative mixtape Slime & B late last night.

Back in April, Brown posted about the release on his Instagram Stories and teased that’d he’d be unveiling a project with the rapper. The post read “ME AND THUGGA THUGGA @thuggerthugger1 Got a mixtape coming soon.” Young Thug also posted the same message on his Instagram Stories. After this the R&B singer shared that the mixtape would be unveiled on May 5.

The release arrives on Brown’s 31st birthday as fans and celebrities are dealing with social distancing and adjusting to life in quarantine. Before the project arrived he also dropped the tracklist. A few features include Future, Too Short, Gunna and E-40.

After a first-listen we’ve handpicked a few of our favorite tracks on Slime & B. “Go Crazy,” “Trapback,” “Big Slime,” “City Girls” and “I Ain’t Tryin.” The cut with Too Short and E-40, “Undrunk” is something we can imagine playing in Vegas. It’s a bit corny but it has West Coast energy all over it. Future graces listeners with his presence on “Help Me Breathe” and him and Thugger don’t disappoint.

The mere arrival of a surprise release is reminiscent of the singer’s mixtape era. Years ago he’d drop tapes with artists like Tyga, Kevin McCall and DJ Drama to name a few. Honestly, In My Zone is a personal favorite. Young Thug is known for his buzzy mixtapes, he’s risen in notoriety over the years and built a cult following. Brown recently was featured on Summer Walker's single "Something Real."
