If you’ve been keeping an ear to The Round-Up over the last few months, YGTUT should already be on your radar of breakout artists for 2019. But just in case you missed the memo, the Chattanooga-born rapper (and son of a preacher, according to a recent Noisey profile) has released his first project since 2017’s Four Two Three.
IOU is a sleek, dynamic, and soulful, seven-song set. Anchored by his gospel upbringing and a remarkable command for coldly calculated wordplay, his latest is a showcase of the young rapper’s strongest penmanship to date over a range of southern suites, all stewed to perfection.
Stream YGTUT’s IOU EP below and hit the link to scoop the project on iTunes today. Stay tuned for his next transmission.
