The Compton rapper was slated to perform in a Grammy tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle.

YG was taken into custody at his home in connection with a robbery, according to TMZ.

LAPD arrived with warrants for search and arrest at 4AM on Friday morning, though details of the related incident and how the rapper was implicated remain unclear. His bail has been set at $250,000.

Attorney, Joe Tacopina, told the publication, "This arrest is one that caught YG completely off guard because there is no truth to them. YG has no idea what investigators are talking about and we have not been provided with any details." Tacopina described the timing as "suspect, to put it mildly," as the rapper was slated to perform at a tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle at the 2020 Grammy Awards on Sunday. But that seems to be in limbo now.

In a tweet, fellow LA-rapper, The Game, not-so-subtly reinforced the attorney's hunch.

The arrest follows a recent spat with law enforcement over his vehicle being used in a high-speed chase that resulted in one man being shot and killed last summer. And just weeks after the shooting, a home the rapper was leasing in Hollywood Hills was raided with one person being brought up on weapons charges. Though cases are ongoing, there is no evidence of his involvement in either incident.

Last year, YG postponed the release of his fifth studio album, 4Real 4Real, after Nipsey's murder. The album eventually dropped in May of 2019 in dedication to the late rapper.
