RZA Says 'Wu-Tang: An American Saga' Season 2 Will Focus On Recording Of '36 Chambers'

The second season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga will get into the recording of the group's seminal debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).

In a recent interview, RZA offered some details on what will be the focus of the second season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga. While speaking with Rolling Stone, the producer and rapper shared how this upcoming season will differ from the first season in terms of its story.

"I think one big thing is that in season we rarely touched into the recording of 36 Chambers...there are certain things that happened in that studio that are hilarious, that's the caption of our youth, and also that's iconic," RZA said, while also adding that certain topics like how Method Man got his name will be addressed, too.

"This season is gonna be even more unpredictable but layered into the fun of what 36 Chambers mean to so many people around the world," he added.

Last year, RZA had revealed that the second season would bring other members of the Wu-Tang Clan into the Hulu TV series, most notably U-God.

"...he’s signed on for Season 2. He always was going to be part of it," he told Variety. In that same report, RZA had explained how, despite production on the show being halted by the pandemic, the show's writing team was still on schedule.

"My writers’ room is being ran with Zoom. We have to make three rooms," he said. “But we have a great team, and a good thing is that usually when you’re doing a TV series, you kind’ve gotta play catch-up because your scripts are behind. We will be ahead."

A premiere date for the second season has yet to be announced.
