On May 13, 2019 — Stevie Wonder’s 69th birthday — London-based artist Richard Wilson started a mural on the wall of Detroit’s Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts.
The mural was to be of a young Stevie Wonder.
Now, almost two months later, the mural is done. According to the Metro Times, the mural was finished on Wednesday, July 10th. According to the Metro Times, the mural, which is 100-foot-tall, was supposed to only take a couple of weeks to complete, but the project was delayed due to rainy weather.
All this comes as Stevie recently revealed that he is having some health issues and that he is having a kidney transplant in September.
