Watch Questlove Spin Prince Rarities, Classics, and Covers in a Nine-Hour Tribute Set

UPDATE: The fourth and final part of Questlove's commemorative DJ tribute has arrived. Watch them all below.

UPDATE: Part three of four is now live. Tune in tomorrow for the final installment.

The Roots drummer cracks the vault for a multi-night, nine-and-a-half-hour salute to the late music icon.

Tucked away in his nondescript "kibbutz," Questlove has proven to be as productive in quarantine as he was in the (how?) long-gone free-roaming era.

He's picked the brains of The Beastie Boys, chopped it up with Jimmy Jam, and managed to pull together a thematic nightly DJ set that has been a reliable source of professional and pedestrian music nerdom over the course of the country's lockdown. His latest sequence tips a hat to the late Prince, coming up on four years since the icon passed. Spanning two nights, hundreds of rarities, classics, and covers, and interstitial tales from the Roots drummer's travels to the Paisley Park compound, the salute clocks in at nearly ten hours. The third part goes live today at 3pm with the final installment arriving tomorrow (April 19th) at the same hour. It follows an equally intensive examination of Bill Withers' catalog in the wake of the songwriter's sudden passing on March 30th, as well as a Stevie Wonder tribute that featured a surprise call-in cameo from the music legend.
